The Elves of Rivendell Virtual Summer Camp

Dates: July 13th-17th (5 days)

Hours: Hours: 11:00 am to 3:30 pm (CDT)

Capacity: 15 Campers, Ages 1st-6th Grade

Registration Ends Sunday July 12th at 11:59 p.m. 

In The Elves of Rivendell Virtual Camp, we will learn many of the mysterious and ancient ways of these magic people. We will make Elven crowns and costumes and make Lembas bread and other Elven specialty foods. We will use wild and cultivated plants to make potions, perfumes and concoctions each day, learning the arts of plant medicine and essences. We will study the Elven language “Quenya” and learn to write in Elvish script then make beautiful works of art in elven calligraphy called “Tengwar.” Camp will conclude with a grand zoom celebration of our skills and a chance to dress up in our elven costumes. 


11 a.m.-12p.m. Zoom Morning Meeting

12:00-2:00 p.m. Independent time including demonstration videos and morning activity completion.

2:00-3:30 p.m. Craft and Activity Zoom Meeting

Throughout the week: Demonstration videos to watch, a few live story times at 6:30 p.m. CDT

Activities and Materials include:

An Elf themed camp packet delivered or mailed to your door for all registrations on or before June 23rd. 

Learning to write and draw in the Elves language “Quenya” 

Crafting Elven Calligraphy art “Tengwar script”

Medicinal and edible herb identification 

Making plant concoctions, perfumes and essences.

Cooking and Baking video demonstration

Botanical sketching 

Elven crowns and costumes

Selected readings in the Lord of The Rings Trilogy about Elves.
