In Village of the Four Elements Camp, we use the tools of navigation, mapping, and tracking to guide us on a heroic quest using all of our senses. We’ll practice the foundations of wilderness self-reliance in the sacred order of shelter, water, fire, food. We will learn basic nature first aid including what to do when you are lost, reading compasses, hazards to avoid, making a nature shelter and learning through the art of storytelling and cooperative games. Whether tracking an animal or a mysterious treasure, we’ll have a grand time exploring the woods and creating works of art and bushcraft from natural materials. Camp will conclude with a barter fair where the children will trade goods they have made throughout the week!
