All Seasons Class
Under the Canopy Outdoors After School Program is a nature discovery program for elementary aged children. The program is based on seasonal exploration and free play in nature and the curriculum is curiosity driven and student interest led. I let nature be the teacher, creating a safe and comfortable environment for adventures and discovery in nature. My goal is to instill individual confidence as well as empathy for the earth and each other.
Experiences of Outdoors After School:
Using Coyote Mentoring, an educational philosophy to encourage creative thinking rather than providing answers, help students develop problem-solving skills and self-sufficiency, and encourage a much deeper level of learning.
