Session Two Dates: July 16th-20th 9:00 a.m.-3 p.m.
Capacity: 12 Campers ages K-5th
Farm to Table camp will be a week of learning the local & seasonal food cycle and our personal cooking histories. We will go on field trips to small farms outside of Tulsa and glean produce that we take back to camp and turn into delicious meals. We will learn basic cooking skills. The camp will end with a big community farm to table feast celebrating our new skills and knowledge. Margaritte Arthrell-Knezek of Under The Canopy LLC will lead the camp. The Campers days will be spent either going on field trips to local farms or preparing and preserving the food we picked. They will also be working on a Family Recipe cookbook with Annie Ferris of MAKE LLC finding their personal connection to the food we eat by crafting a picture collage of a favorite family recipe. Campers will come away with a greater knowledge of their connection to the local food cycle and their place in the rich history of food preparation.
